We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented L1 helpdesk Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our Windows-based systems users. The role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Windows environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Servers)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and practical networking
  • Experience with Azure Active Director, Virtual desktops and infrastructure / cloud computing
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and methodologies
Responsibilities
  • End user support across a wide range of Microsoft tools and applications to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, maintain and deploy Windows workstations and Laptops
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect systems and data
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and execute projects
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Work with the regional teams to provide a 24*5 follow the sun support model
