REQUIRED SKILLS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certifications like CCNA, Fortinet NSE 1 or 2, or equivalent are a plus

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a proactive and technically sound L1 Network & Security Engineer to provide first-line support for network and security operations. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on experience in managing basic network devices and security systems, and a strong desire to grow within a dynamic IT infrastructure environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and provide first-level support for network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
  • Assist in managing firewall policies and rule sets (Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent)
  • Support VPN configuration and user access management (SSL/IPSec VPN)
  • Perform daily health checks and log reviews for network and security devices
  • Escalate incidents and alerts to L2/L3 teams as per defined SOPs
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in ticketing systems
  • Assist with patching, updates, and maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with end users for connectivity issues and basic troubleshooting
  • Follow ITIL or organization-defined processes for change, incident, and problem management
