KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The MOE Imaging Support Officers will provide day-to-day support for the preparation, imaging, deployment, and return of ICT hardware assets. These officers ensure efficient service to end users across the Department, including remote and regional locations, while maintaining compliance with tracking and security requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Raise and process shipping consignments using COPE and StarTrack portals.
  • Pack outbound shipments and receive inbound ICT consignments.
  • Image and configure new laptops, desktops, and high-spec devices for deployment.
  • Resolve ICT service requests and incidents logged in ServiceNow.
  • Prepare and restock new starter laptop bundles at regional sites.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date warehouse inventory records.
  • Import hardware hash data into Autopilot for newly imaged devices.
  • Raise Microsoft support cases for device errors where required.
  • Test and evaluate new image builds as part of collaboration with the cloud team.
  • Coordinate with the HAM team to support stock control and replenishment processes.
  • Fulfil new starter bundle requests for remote workers.
  • Monitor and action the ICT consignment shared mailbox.
  • Enter and update ICT asset information in ServiceNow, including SIM card verification.
  • Initiate warranty claims with hardware vendors (e.g., Dell, HP).
  • Support co-location project teams with workstation remediation and deployment tasks.
  • Escort third-party technicians to the build room for warranty-related repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and test returned hardware for reusability.
  • Clean and sanitise returned ICT devices for reuse or disposal.
  • Remove SIM cards, wipe drives, and update retirement status in ServiceNow for returned assets.
  • Package and stage e-waste items for compliant disposal.
