We are looking for a Palo Alto Specialist for our L2 Support in Berlin (Remote in Germany is possible)
Are you familiar with Palo Alto technology? Do you hold the PCSNE? Do you want to work for a top international company?
If the answer is yes, Westcon-Comstor is looking for you. We are hiring a L2 Support Specialist to join our German team in Berlin to work on a hybrid mode (although your colleagues would be spread all around the world!)
As a member of the Services Solutions Practice the L2 Support Specialist will fulfill a supporting role within the business unit. Specifically, they will drive best in class practices to assist the department to ensure services delivery excellence and will contribute to a high-performance environment to achieve and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Please note you must be able to work in shifts.

Your main tasks:

  • Provide post sales technical support, configurations, troubleshooting, and standard methodologies to customers via phone, e-mail, and web
  • Handle support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups finished in a timely manner
  • Use fault isolation and root cause analysis skills to diagnose and tackle complicated technical issues
  • Maintaining customer documentation
  • Clarifying a client’s system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business
  • Analyzing system requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of systems
  • Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems
  • Provide on-call support on an as needed basis.

Your qualifications:

  • Prior significative experience in similar Technical Support Centers (at least 5 years)
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or NextGen Firewall, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Fluent in English (German is a BIG plus)
  • Knowledge of any other major European language will be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player, used to work within an international team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to independently to debug broad, complex, and unparalleled networks with mixed media and protocols required
  • In-depth experience in routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, VLAN, STP)
  • Experience with security (IPSEC, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE)
  • Experience with Authentication Protocols a plus (Radius / TACACS)
  • Experience with another technologies like Cisco, Checkpoint, F5 Networks products is a plus
