Description
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated L2 Systems Engineer to join our team. As an L2 Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering technical support and solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for handling escalated technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting, and ensuring timely resolution of complex IT challenges.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Build, administer, maintain, and support Windows based servers in a physical or virtual environment. This includes capacity planning, disk space management, forecasting, asset management, performance management, and problem-solving.
  • Perform system admin such as: system/application install, server install, patch management, operating system problem analysis and resolution, log analysis, etc.
  • Use monitoring tools to analyze performance to proactively identify possible issues and resolve them.
  • Work on escalated problems and service request tickets and as well as respond to alerts in responsible areas in order to resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Configuring Cloud Services
  • Identify Client IT needs and work with team members to develop solutions.
  • Thoroughly document MSP issues, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
  • Work with 3rd party vendor support for issue resolutions on peripherals, equipment, or software
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Security and incident handling
  • Windows Desktop Support and Troubleshooting.

Requirements and skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting Windows virtualized servers and workstations in a mid to large environment. Technology experience should include but not limited to Active Directory roles and permissions, Group Policies, Server Roles, Domains, RDS Server Concepts, and Print server management
  • 2+ years of experience working for a Managed Service Provider
  • 2+ years prior desktop support experience required in a mid to large environment supporting Windows O/S – Version 10, 11 on domains and in workgroups
  • Extensive knowledge Windows 10 and 11 user accounts and permissions
  • 2+ years Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft System Licensing and Application licensing for Office 365
  • 1 to 2 years experience in Microsoft Entra Concepts
  • Experience with backup and recovery products, process, procedures
  • Working Knowledge and hands on experience with VMWARE a plus
  • Workings knowledge of RMM software and and basic PowerShell and scripting commands
  • Some after hour and weekend work will be required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
