ROLE SUMMARY:

Critical Research is an established and vibrant market and social research agency with a range of commercial, public and third sector clients, based in the heart of London. The role is suitable for an apprentice looking to get started in data analysis and scripting, especially those with some exposure to market research data or scripting through study. Starting salary is £18-20,000 pa with regular reviews and progression. Fully funded training including external courses and official Market Research qualification. Located in London Bridge (SE1 1YW) in recently refurbished offices, with hybrid working options. Generous holiday allowance and flexible well-being days including over Christmas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A Data Analyst (DA) delivers the technical aspects of market research projects, often several at a time. This involves programming of survey materials in specialist software, handling and manipulation of qualitative and quantitative information, management of data collection processes and data analysis. The role can be client-facing too, hence the DA also requires an understanding of working in a business services industry and providing deliverables to clients on budget and on time.
  • DAs implement technical aspects of the research process, including questionnaire scripting, analysis scripting and database management, hence a prior understanding of software programming can be beneficial to the role. Additionally, the DA is involved in ensuring the research fulfils the client needs.
  • Initially the role is to support senior research managers and directors in survey management. Success at DA level is progression to manage other research elements and other analysts in a team.
