Your responsibilities

• Propagation, and cryopreservation of cells, including primary human cells from commercial and/or patient sources in a BSLII environment
• Culturing primary epithelial cells from frozen or fresh normal and tumor tissues
• Culturing and passaging spheroid and organoid epithelial cells
• Cell-based assays (cell imaging, flow cytometry assays, killing assays etc.)
• RNA extraction, qPCR, Western blot
• Transformation, Miniprep, Maxiprep
• Transfection, Transduction
• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, analyze data, and generate comprehensive reports
• Draft SOPs
• Lab management tasks such as receiving and inventory of laboratory consumables
• Preparation and aliquoting of media and reagents
• Preparation of lab consumables (e.g. coating of cell culture vessels)
• Cleaning and maintenance of laboratory instruments
• Coordination of maintenance for laboratory instruments with service contracts.
• Autoclaving and waste disposal

Our requirements

• Masters degree in life sciences, Biology or related field
• Strong background in cell biology including primary human cell culture from commercial and patient sources in a BSLII environment
• also strong background in cancer biology
• experience in ropagation and cryopreservation of 2D and 3D primary cell culture
• deep understanding of quality Control specifications of cultured cells like STR analysis, Karyotype, mycoplasma etc.
• Fluent in English and German
