Position Summary Performs blood specimen collection, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens; will perform CLIA waived laboratory tests, as requested. Will process anatomic pathology and cytology specimens; assists pathologists and histotechs, as needed. Will supervise or lead lab assistant I and II positions, as requested. Completes prioritization, receipt, registration and distribution of specimens. Has responsibility for sendout/reference lab shipping, tracking and billing. Will perform waived testing, as requested. Will assist with processing of anatomic pathology specimens including preparation of microscopic tissue slides, staining and specimen management, as requested. Responsibilities

The Lab Assistant III performs blood specimen collection, receipt, and distribution while conducting CLIA waived laboratory tests. They also assist pathologists with anatomic pathology specimens and provide supervision or leadership to Lab Assistant I and II staff.
