Position: Lab Assistant, Outreach (Part-time 20 hours per week)- This role will travel to Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, Philadelphia Counties. Shift: 5am-9am; 6am-10am(flexible) M-F, rotating weekends (on calls 7am-6pm, 6am at Sat at Mirmont) Experience: 2 years lab experience required Experience in an anatomic or clinical laboratory preferred. Ability to work in more than 1 section of the lab preferred Working knowledge of medical information systems preferred. Education: High school graduate or equivalent, certification as a medical assistant or related field preferred, moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills. Licensures/Certifications: Valid driver�s license and insured automobile, if appropriate MA or related preferred Maintains certification in the Packaging and Shipping of Hazardous Goods

Responsibilities

The Outreach Lab Assistant is responsible for collecting routine and STAT blood samples from multiple long-term care facilities and delivering/processing these specimens at the Main Line Health Lab.
