We’re looking for a Specimen Processing Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.
This is a permanent, full-time position working, Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with rotational Saturday’s 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program
• Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solution
