Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a Lab Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment within our Houston labs. This role will ensure lab spaces remain operational and hazard-free, supporting staff efficiency. You will uphold safety standards by keeping equipment, tools, and surfaces free of debris and hazards. This is an onsite opportunity located in Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect lab space and equipment to identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance.
  • Support lab personnel by ensuring cleanliness and preparing tools for experiments, tests, or maintenance.
  • Sort and organize small mechanical components (bolts, screws, nuts, washers) into designated bins.
  • Label and categorize hardware for easy access and use.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Report safety hazards or damaged equipment to the supervisor immediately.
  • Follow instructions and safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
