Description

Clean Harbors located in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Lab Chemist II to join their team. The Lab Chemist II will be responsible for sample preparation, the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. This is a traditional, white lab coat position that requirea no travel. We are looking for an experienced individual with good work ethic.
Shift: Monday-Friday: 8:00 am- 4:30 pm; OT and Saturdays as needed
Pay: $25

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physical science is required;
  • Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing preferred;
  • Experience in a laboratory preferred;
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety and Compliance protocols;
  • Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve minor problems;
  • Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation;
  • Maintenance of equipment suggests solutions to problems;
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion;
  • Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;
  • Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices;
  • Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
