Job Title: Lab Courier Department: Logistics Location: Elmgrove Hours Per Week: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, 7:30a-4p SUMMARY As a Courier, you are a professional who delivers and maintains specimen integrity and solves client issues so that our caregivers can provide accurate analysis and quality care to our patients. RESPONSIBILITIES Daily Assignments. Execute each courier route with efficiency, ensure the integrity of each delivery; access, navigate and send correspondence using designated computer Customer Service. Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, promote superior customer service and customer relations; use sound judgment to problem solve if client issues arise; understand and respect patient confidentiality Documentation. Report equipment condition and notify coordinator of maintenance requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New York State Driver’s License required Previous customer service-related work experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Five (5) years of driving experience Friendly, kind and customer service oriented Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and make decisions Rochester area geographical knowledge preferred Previous courier experience or systems driving experience EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $17.25 - $19.89 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14624 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
