Description
Responsible for participating in the identification of and planning for laboratory education needs in collaboration with laboratory leadership, assisting with Education program budget preparation, participating in the development of educational programs for medical trainees (pathologists, residents, fellows, post docs, etc.) as directed by laboratory leadership and Residency/Fellowship Program Director. Participating in the coordination of development, implementation and maintenance of clinical laboratory education programs for students/interns rotating in the laboratory in compliance with the affiliate program requirements and in collaboration with Mayo School of Health Sciences and laboratory/Division/Department leadership. Participating in development and coordination of new employee training and education programs in collaboration with laboratory and division leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Participating as clinical education faculty in formal education programs within the Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) as assigned. Teaches/trains/mentors student and employees, maintaining competency in laboratory specialty and in education methodologies. Spending at least 50% of time in laboratory education activities. **This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program**
