Step into a career with ASM, where cutting edge technology meets collaborative culture.
For over 55 years ASM has been ahead of what’s next, at the forefront of innovation and what’s technologically possible. With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving. But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

JOB SUMMARY:

At ASM, we enable global software development teams to create next-generation solutions for the semiconductor industry. This is NOT your typical cloud DevOps role- this position is focused on on-premise infrastructure and hardware-based systems, not cloud platforms.
If you’re someone who enjoys building systems from bare metal, configuring software environments, solving issues and automating build/test infrastructure — this is the role for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Build, configure, and maintain on-prem hardware/software systems used for software development and testing.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to streamline delivery and validation.
  • Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell to manage build systems, deployment workflows, and system setup.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, IT personnel and QA teams to streamline software build and validation processes.
  • Manage and troubleshoot networking, storage, OS, and device setups across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Set up and support physical test environments — including assembling machines, swapping parts, and installing OS images.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience administering Linux and Windows systems, including system imaging, patching, and scripting.
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of computer hardware: assembling systems, diagnosing hardware issues, and deploying workstations or servers.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, basic switch configuration).
  • Proficiency with Python and either Bash or PowerShell for automation.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience with tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Git and software development best practices.
