WHO YOU ARE:

The Urban Electric Company has grown over the last decade into a global presence in the shelter industry. We design, market and manufacture high-end, bench crafted lighting fixtures. We are currently seeking an experienced Lab / Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing shop by performing preventative and corrective maintenance for industrial facilities and equipment. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required (Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, etc a plus!)
  • 2-3 years of prior lab or maintenance experience
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Safely operate hand and power tools
  • Prior experience with shop tools and industrial equipment a plus!
  • Chemical titration analysis and chemical adjustments a plus!
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing and/or lab facility
  • Understanding of OSHA Safety Requirements
  • HazWoper 40 hour and annual 8 hour refresher training (provided)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to wear PPE as required
