Description Title: QA Lab Supervisor Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Position Location: Gramercy FLSA Status: Effective Date: 10/17/2025 Job Summary/Objective Based on broad guidance by the Process Engineering team and information gathered during daily production meetings, oversee the day-to-day work in the Quality Assurance Laboratory. Monitor processes and ensure that laboratory equipment is functioning correctly. Essential Functions · Train, monitor and report on hourly lab worker’s performance to safety and lab policies/procedures. Standards. · Repair, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment to accepted QA standards. · Prepare certificate of analysis for all product shipments out of the Atalco Alumina facility. · Develop, maintain and report monthly on Safety, Environmental and Quality performance of the lab. Education/Training Requirements Bachelor's level degree with heavy emphasis in Chemistry and up to 3 years of supervisory experience plus up to 10 years of experience with wet chemistry lab processes and analytical instrumentation including X-Ray spectrometer and diffraction are required.
