Lab Operations Associate - Summer position only Department: Lab Operations Reports to: Accessioning Manager Pay Group: Non-Exempt Title: Lab Operations Associate - Part-time Summer only Job Summary: This PT Lab Operations Associate summer role is responsible for the receiving and processing laboratory specimens and requisitions ensuring accuracy of information processed. You will act in the best interest of patient care and Gravity Diagnostics while serving as a liaison between our lab and our customers. This role will also perform a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties. This part-time position pays $19.50/hourly and schedule is: Wed., Thurs. Sat., 6:30a-3p Responsibilities and Duties: * Follow and adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program along with all HIPAA guidelines. * You are responsible for the receiving and processing of laboratory specimens and requisitions. You will enter requisitions data into the online database and label the specimens. * Organize medical supply kits * Other duties as assigned. * Aliquoting samples Required Skills and Abilities: * Proficient computer and typing skills * Meet established metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Comfortable working in a protective laboratory setting * Ability to work with co-workers, clients, and hospital staff effectively * Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced, high volume ever-changing environment * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Education and Experience: * High school diploma required.
