Description

Inventory Management:

  • Track and manage inventory of all lab & research equipment and supplies
  • Reorder supplies and equipment in a timely manner to prevent shortages and delays.
  • Maintain detailed records of product specifications, serial numbers, and warranty information using established tools.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration with external vendors
  • Schedule and coordinate any necessary repairs or upgrades to equipment and tools.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate with relevant teams or external vendors for repairs.

Lab Organization & Safety:

  • Ensure that the labs are neat, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, following all environmental and safety guidelines.
  • Train lab personnel on safety procedures, equipment use, and emergency protocols.

Support for Research/Engineering Teams:

  • Coordinate lab schedules and allocate resources to support ongoing projects and research activities.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to engineers, researchers, or students working in the lab.
  • Assist with experiments by setting up equipment, conducting tests, and recording results.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate logs and records of lab activities, inventory usage, and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare reports on lab usage, inventory status, and equipment performance for management or project leads.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in lab management, inventory control, or hardware maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge of audio equipment, e.g. loudspeakers, microphones, interfaces, analyzers, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with lab safety standards and hazardous material handling.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with team members and vendors.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with inventory management software or tools.
  • Familiarity with project management and scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to audio labs
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a relevant field, e.g. electrical engineering, audio engineering, or similar.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65.00 per hour
