Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Lab Operations Coordinator to serve as the central point of contact for laboratory operations. This role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of the lab environment by managing space, equipment, supplies, safety, and common lab activities. Key Responsibilities: Lab Onboarding & Coordination Train new hires on lab policies and workflows Assign and schedule lab duties Coordinate lab space allocation (bench, fridge, freezer, liquid nitrogen) and manage transitions for incoming/outgoing staff Equipment & Maintenance Submit work orders and coordinate repairs for lab equipment and computers Schedule and oversee technician visits and preventative maintenance Inventory & Supplies Order and organize common lab items Monitor backorders and assess stock levels for updates Lab Activities & Capital Coordination Organize annual pipette calibration, lab clean-ups, and inventory true-ups Collaborate with scientists and capital request teams for new equipment needs Cold Storage Oversight Manage emergency and scheduled repairs/clean-outs Conduct regular reviews to determine clean-out needs Safety & Compliance Attend EH&S meetings and conduct monthly safety inspections Address general safety issues, including signage updates Qualifications Associates' Degree with 6 years’ experience working in an academic, biotech, or pharmaceutical lab environment. Demonstrated lab management experience required Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Experience with Microsoft Office Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Additional Information Position is Full Time, First Shift, Monday through Friday from 8 am-5pm pm, onsite.
