Description The Lab/QA technician is responsible for ensuring quality, safety and consistency of all products through routine lab testing and production line inspections. This role plays a key part in upholding food safety standards and regulatory compliance. In addition to performing analytical and sensory tests, the Lab/QA technician is expected to enforce PPE and safety protocols across all production and lab areas. Requirements · Conduct routine lab testing on raw materials, in process, and finished products (Ph, Brix, viscosity, sensory, etc.) · Monitor and verify Critical Control Points during production · Accurately record and report test results using internal documentation systems · Calibrate, maintain and sanitize lab equipment · Perform on-the-floor quality checks and ensure compliance with company specifications · Enforce PPE and safety protocols · Immediately correct or report any PPE or safety violations to supervisors · Support investigations for non-conforming products or safety incidents · Assist in internal audits and regulatory inspections (FDA, SQF, etc.) · Promote a culture of food safety and accountability on the production floor · Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or leads Required Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent · 1+ year of QA or food manufacturing experience preferred · Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards · Attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of quality and safety · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Work Environment: This position operates in both laboratory and food manufacturing environments with regular exposure to hot and cold temperatures, moisture, food odors, and noisy machinery on the production floor. Use of PPE is required at all times in designated areas.
