OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in manufacturing sanitation, product quality testing, product hold procedures, in-house audits and assist in making corrections. This position is essential to maintaining policies and procedures that are currently in place in the company’s food safety and protocol plans.

SKILLS

  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of histology techniques and molecular biology principles is highly desirable.
  • Experience in scientific research methodologies to support ongoing projects.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations related to laboratory practices and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in both research laboratories and industrial laboratory settings.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Preform or oversee antibiotic testing on incoming milk.
  • Run milk analysis on all incoming milk not sent to 3rd party lab for testing.
  • Test cheese samples for each lot of cheese manufactured specifically for: Coliform/E.coli, and Moisture (yeast & mold).
  • Record and analyze data, preparing reports on findings for review.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
  • Monitor all PPE, GMP and SSOPs.
  • Clean and maintain all lab equipment for proper function and sanitary operations
  • Conduct monthly in-house audits according to company food safety programs.
