Job Description Position: Lab Technician Co-op Primary Location: North Vancouver, BC Schedule: Full time, on site Reports To: Senior Process Engineer Compensation: $32.23/hr. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. About This Role and About You Provide laboratory and operational support to the Chemtrade manufacturing facility at our North Vancouver Chlor-alkali Plant. Responsible for performing sample analyses using applicable internal and external analytical methodologies including associated documentation/certification. This is a full-time summer role for a student currently enrolled in university or college for Chemistry or another science discipline. Applicants must be able to work on site at our North Vancouver plant Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. There may be a requirement to work some Saturdays for ½ a day. Duration: 4 months (May through August 2026) Duties and Responsibilities · Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) · Maintain accurate documentation of analyses performed · Perform wet chemistry analyses and generate certificate of analyses, where applicable · Assist management in ensuring all deliveries meet or exceed customer expectations · Assist in troubleshooting operational quality issues · Assist with lab inventory management and procurement of laboratory supplies · Assist and serve as a backup for Lab Chemists as needed · Prepare, certify, and package product samples for shipment to external labs and customers Experience and Education Education: 3rd Year Chemistry preferred Technical Skills: Proficient in laboratory, computer, and chemistry skills as expected from a post secondary science student.
