Description
The Role Our Product Commercialisation Team is looking for a skilled Engineering Technician for our Engineering Design Centre to provide technical support from test systems and fixtures build. What You'll Do: You'll be the technical engine of our lab, responsible for the initial assembly or reworking of complex test solutions to support the test engineer development team. Your core duties include: Fabricating high-quality test systems based on detailed engineering specifications. Performing initial assembly, soldering, rework, and debugging of PCB assemblies and prototypes. Providing hands-on technical lab support throughout the entire project assembly lifecycle. Ensuring system-level wiring and assembly meets exacting standards. Key Job Accountabilities: Maintains work area and Leads in maintaining the Plexus Engineering Solutions Lab to 6S and ESD standards. Provide quality products and services to all internal and external customers. Advanced abilities and qualifications to perform wiring, soldering, crimping and assembly functions to build high quality test systems or products per engineering specifications. Supports the evaluation and improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure best practices are used throughout the functional group. Produce an acceptable quantity of work in a timely manner with limited supervision. Other Qualifications: General office equipment and materials. Intermediate Computer Skills. Intermediate Decision making, Problem Solving Skills. Intermediate Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Possess knowledge of IPC J Standards & IPC 620 Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Proficiency in the soldering leaded, surface-mount and fine-pitch components. Familiarity with ESD control. Physical Requirements: Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low-medium noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment.
