Creativity - Stewardship - Impact - Integrity - Healthy Relationships Requirements What You’ll Do You’ll play a key role in supporting our lab and plant operations by ensuring accurate testing, reliable data, and strong quality standards. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to how we operate day-to-day. Perform analytical testing independently for routine analyses and support more advanced methods with guidance Operate and maintain lab equipment including UV, NIR, GC, HPLC, balances, and other standard instruments Conduct facility and process audits, document findings, and help drive follow-up actions Participate in cross-site testing and report results to senior QC team members Support food safety and quality audits by ensuring documentation and processes are audit-ready Train operators and QC staff on basic QA/QC equipment and testing methods Prepare, review, and validate routine QC data to ensure accuracy and integrity Coordinate routine maintenance of lab equipment and escalate issues when needed Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all analytical results Support external lab submissions and track results Compile and deliver analytical reports clearly and professionally Assist with lab inventory to ensure supplies are always available Support research activities and continuous improvement efforts under senior QC guidance Act as a technical resource for operations, partnering closely with plant teams Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment Model strong safety practices and reinforce company values in daily work What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field 1–3 years of lab or research experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment (balances, pH meters, centrifuges, ovens, etc.) Experience with lab techniques such as titration, extraction, dilution, and sample prep Familiarity with UV, NIR, GC, HPLC, or similar instrumentation preferred Working knowledge of chemical properties, handling, and safety practices Experience with fats, oils, or pesticide analysis is a plus Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and basic statistical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint What we provide, because we care! · Full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability · Generous 401k match (up to 6%) · Continuing education · Wellness reimbursement up to $300 a year · 8 Paid Holidays
