Adecco is currently seeking a Lab technician - Medical Assembler to join our client’s team located in Etobicoke, ON. This is a temporary contract role with the possibility of becoming permanent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing cartridges or sub-assemblies while following approved assembly procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to work with specialized equipment like microscopes and hand tools are essential.

  • Pay rate: Days $20/hour. | Afternoons $23/hour.
  • Location: Etobicoke, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday
  • Days 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Afternoons 3:30pm-12:00am
  • Job type: Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspecting, assembling, and testing cartridges or sub-assemblies using approved assembly procedures.
  • Following all work instructions and procedures and recording all production information as required.
  • Using a computer to perform tests, download information, or record test data.
  • Working with a microscope for extended periods to ensure precision in assembly and testing.
  • Utilizing and maintaining hand tools and various types of equipment for assembly and testing.
  • Demonstrating good hand-eye coordination and stable hands for delicate component assembly.
  • Adhering to gowning protocols as required to maintain cleanliness in the workspace.
  • Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with small, delicate components.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must have minimum 1 year of Microscope experience
  • Ability to use a computer for data entry and to perform tests.
  • Experience working with Gas Chromatography (GC) columns or microfluidics assembly is a plus.
  • Experience in electronic or medical device assembly is highly preferred.
