Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.
We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as a Laboratory Technician on a permanent basis.

• Accurately match and prepare samples in accordance with sample request requirements, using appropriate test methods and specifications.
• Ensure all samples are tested, recorded, and reported following internal procedures and quality standards.
• Communicate sample request information clearly and professionally to internal departments, branches, Regional Business Managers (RBMs), and customers, depending on the specific situation.
• Identify and escalate any batches or formulations that require significant or abnormal additions during testing to the Lab Supervisor immediately.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to improving colour prediction and colour reproduction techniques within the laboratory.
• Maintain a high level of skill in consistent product application across a variety of substrates.
• Support the continuous improvement of laboratory practices, tools, and colour-matching accuracy.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and participate in special projects as requested by management.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to laboratory operations and chemical handling.
