YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate level in a Science subject - NSQF Level 7, or higher, in a Science subject (Ideally Chemistry)
  • Previous Laboratory experience in a NPI laboratory function including experience of Method transfer is preferred.
  • HPLC/UPLC experience is preferred.
  • Analytical/chemistry laboratory experience in a laboratory function and relevant industrial experience is required.
  • Must be able to work diligently inspecting, sampling and testing to the required standard (where appropriate) and delivering raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, finished products and stability testing to the relevant Laboratories.
  • Must have a right first-time approach and a safety conscious approach to work within the laboratories.
  • Must be committed to engaging in Continuous Improvement activities, including those which enhance performance and schedule adherence in the Lab.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

In the Laboratory Technician role your objective is to inspect, sample, test to the required standard (where appropriate) and to deliver raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, finished products and stability samples to the Laboratories.

  • Compliance with relevant Good Laboratory Practices with respect to hygiene, safety and work organisation.
  • Adherence to all relevant SOPs, WIs, test methods and APs, Worksheet and Enclosures, as directed by the Associate Manger / designee.
  • Sampling and control of quality control samples.
  • Accurate recording of results on worksheets and/or workbooks (logbooks).
  • Filing of Laboratory data.
  • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Participation in internal and external audits.
  • Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products & stability samples.
  • Carry out process validation work
  • Provide analytical cover for effluent analysis with advance agreement
  • Sampling & chemical testing of water from the manufacturing plants and the laboratory.
