JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures and techniques, with experience in various scientific disciplines. This role is essential for supporting our research and development efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the advancement of our laboratory capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with butane hash oil (BHO) extraction in a licensed facility strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with lab equipment, including closed-loop extractors, vacuum ovens, rotary evaporators, etc.
  • Understanding of solvent safety protocols and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be 21+ and able to pass a background check as required by state regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Standing, walking, and repetitive motion for extended periods
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperature, ventilation, and noise levels
Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor butane extraction systems in a safe and efficient manner
  • Process raw plant material into high-quality concentrates
  • Purge and refine extracts using vacuum ovens and other post-processing equipment
  • Maintain detailed logs of batches, yields, and lab activities in accordance with METRC or other tracking systems
  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain all lab equipment and work areas
  • Assist in R&D of new products and extraction methods
  • Follow all safety guidelines related to working with volatile solvents
  • Support compliance with local/state cannabis laws and company SOPs
  • Work collaboratively with the production and quality assurance teams
  • Assist with distillation, decarboxylation, and/or winterization processes when needed
  • Support packaging and labeling of final products
  • Prepare and pre-process biomass for extraction
  • Help with inventory tracking, data entry, and restocking supplies
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitization of the facility and equipment per lab protocols
  • Cross-train in other lab processes to provide support as production demands shift
