JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plasma Center Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory procedures related to plasma collection and processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory techniques, quality control, and an understanding of FDA regulations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of plasma products while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in an industrial or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GLP, CGMP, FDA regulations, and quality control processes is essential.
  • Background in scientific research or veterinary science is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data collection and analysis effectively.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques such as microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and relevant laboratory procedures.
  • Experience working with research laboratories or conducting scientific research is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in math skills for accurate data interpretation and calculations. Responsibilities
  • Conduct plasma collection procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine quality control checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of plasma donations and related laboratory data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Assist in the analysis of samples, including microbiology, histology, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members on research and development projects to improve plasma processing methods.
  • Utilize knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology when interacting with donors.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment following standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
