  • Proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant position
  • In depth knowledge of preventative measures and laboratory best practices
  • Excellent physical condition and endurance
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and database systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Reliable with a keen eye for detail
  • Degree in biology, chemistry, science or relevant field
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

Laboratory technician role is to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical in nature. He/She will be handling natural health and biological substances for compounding, manufacturing and testing of drug product. He/She will be well trained to maintain and follow a GMP controlled environment. The goal is to follow laboratory procedures and succeed in producing safe, reliable and correct results.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer calls from customer for orders, inquiries and complaints.
  • Enter all information of customer orders into Filemaker for processing and payment.
  • Interpret doctor’s prescription in order to formulate in accordance to specific doctors preferences for compounding or manufacturing.
  • Print all necessary labels and documentations for each individual drug product.
  • Prepare all necessary requirements before entry into the cleanroom.
  • Perform compounding/manufacturing process as per SOP’s.
  • Perform cleanroom and laminar flow hood maintenance as per SOP’s
  • Perform necessary sterility testing as required.
  • Inspect, label and boxed all prepared drug product for QC’s final inspection.
  • Package all released and inspected drug product for shipment.
  • Received new incoming raw material and packaging components and enter inventory on Filemaker.
  • Organize and store all raw materials and packaging components according to safety and storage instructions.
  • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
  • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory and shipping supplies.
  • Ensure that all SOP’s are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Ensure that all task are perform as per GMP guidelines.
