We’re looking for a Lab Technician to join our quality team and play a key role in ensuring our aluminum products meet customer expectations and industry standards. In this role, you’ll be at the center of quality control where you'll be testing materials, analyzing results, and helping drive excellence across our manufacturing operation. 🚀 WHAT YOU’LL DO As our Lab Technician, no two days are exactly the same. You’ll be responsible for a variety of exciting and important tasks, including: 🧪 TESTING & ANALYSIS * Perform physical, chemical, and metallurgical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. * Use advanced lab equipment such as spectrometers, hardness testers, tensile testers, and microscopes. * Evaluate results and compare them to specifications, standards, and customer requirements. * Support metallurgical evaluations including grain size, microstructure, and inclusion analysis. 📊 QUALITY & DOCUMENTATION * Accurately record test results, observations, and sample data in logs, spreadsheets, and quality systems. * Maintain sample identification, traceability, and chain of custody. * Notify leadership of non-conforming materials and help investigate root causes. * Assist with customer claims by performing detailed product analysis. ⚙️ EQUIPMENT & PROCESS SUPPORT * Monitor, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. * Help update SOPs, work instructions, and inspection plans. * Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives. * Communicate findings clearly with production, maintenance, technical teams, and leadership. 🧼 SAFETY & ORGANIZATION * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment using 5S principles. * Follow all PPE, chemical handling, and workplace safety requirements. ---------------------------------------- 🌟 WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT We’re looking for someone who is curious, dependable, and detail-oriented.
