KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Third level qualification in Science or a related discipline;
  • Experience of lab work in food industry;
  • Experience of LIMS and statistical data analysis;
  • Good in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word…)
  • A strong communicator and ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • An ability to interpret test data and problem-solving skills;
  • Good organisational ability;
  • Desire to do further relevant training and improvement;
  • Proven ability to work with own initiative and within a team

Responsibilities
  • Samples management i.e. sampling at the plant, samples collection, samples preparation and dispatch to external labs;
  • Analysis (Chemistry) of dairy products including milk, cheese, whey, utilities, CIP chemicals by following approved analytical methods;
  • Laboratory results compilation, sharing with site management & taking corrective and preventive actions.
  • Use of LIMS to carry out all lab activities incl. sampling, results entry and results download;
  • Performing Quality assurance activities e.g. inspections, Hygiene audits, documentation review at the plant;
  • Successful implementation and participation in internal and external proficiency testing;
  • Review and maintain documentation of lab results, SOPs, sampling plans and lab documentation;
  • Adherence to SOPs, Good Lab Practices and Health / Safety standards;
  • Completion of other Quality and food safety related tasks as and when they occur.
