Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating Toshiba B-EXT4 digital press equipment efficiently and as needed; observes machines to detect malfunctions throughout the production run.
  • Receive and process label requests from line leaders and production supervisors; create and apply labels to ingredients in bins of up to 25 lbs promptly to meet product delivery deadlines
  • Monitor quantity and quality of label and packaging material to ensure standards are met; report all food safety concerns to personnel with authority
  • Support purchasing department with the control of incoming packaging materials
  • Investigate and assist in the resolution of label and packaging inventory variances and issues; communicate all variances or quality concerns to personnel with authority
  • Prepare packing materials for approaching production runs
  • Record accurately, all lot codes for packaging material and ensure food safety traceability system is consistently followed
  • Maintain all computer and label technology, report issues to supervisor or IT department as appropriate
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of work area and ensure that safety standards are met
  • Ensure compliance for GMP, SOP’s, policies & procedures
