Completes machine set ups, change overs, tooling changes, adjustments and troubleshooting related to the operation of one or more packaging machines. Maintains line efficiencies at designed rate and the standards to meet quality and customer requirements. Performs general light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment. Verbally communicates at shift changes with other operators on status of machines performance. Enters equipment downtime and reasons into the MES data system for your equipment promptly. Maintains appropriate quality and production documentation. Verifies product matches the production schedule and completes inventory documentation. Monitors bottle, carton and case codes to ensure the product is being properly packaged and quality standards are being adhered to. Reports out of standard results to the Quality department and supervisor immediately. Reports unsafe conditions or other compliance issues to assigned Line Lead and/or Supervisor. Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives. Efficient and safe use of fork truck as needed. Retrieves and maintains product from the ASRS storage area. The individual will be required to lift 50 pounds, bend, climb stairs and stand the majority of their shift. Requirements What You’ll Need 6 months previous manufacturing, packaging, or assembly line production experience Demonstrated organizational and observational skills, and detail-oriented Basic mathematical calculation skills Demonstrated ability to read, write and listen to written and oral and instructions in the English language Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision
Responsibilities
The operator will perform essential functions including operating Palletizer and De-palletizer machinery, completing setups, change overs, adjustments, and troubleshooting. They must maintain line efficiencies, perform general light maintenance, communicate status updates at shift changes, and promptly enter equipment downtime data into the MES system.
