REQUIREMENTS

• At least one year of RN experience in Labor and Delivery, preferably at a level III or higher
• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• License/Certification
• RN- Registered Nurse
• BLS- Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
• NRP- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 30 days of hire)

• Monitor mothers during labor, including vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contraction patterns.
• Administer medications, including pain management such as epidurals or IV medications.
• Assist with induction of labor and augmentation as directed by physicians.
• Provide continuous emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for childbirth.
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
• Support both vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections (C-sections).
• Recognize and respond quickly to obstetric emergencies (e.g., preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress).
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment (fetal monitors, IV pumps, etc.).
• Provide immediate postpartum care, monitoring recovery and preventing complications.
• Assist mothers with breastfeeding and newborn bonding.
• Conduct newborn assessments, including Apgar scoring, vital signs, and general health checks.
