Drake is seeking dependable, hardworking Laborers to join our highway construction team in De Kalb, Texas. This position plays a critical role in supporting roadway construction operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks and assisting crews in maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive job site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist with general highway and roadway construction activities. * Perform manual labor tasks including shoveling, raking, digging, site cleanup, and material handling. * Assist equipment operators, foremen, and supervisors as directed. * Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment. * Prepare and maintain work zones and job sites. * Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and TxDOT requirements. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Perform other duties as assigned to support project operations. Qualifications * Previous construction or highway construction experience preferred but not required. * Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments. * Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and equipment. * Dependable transportation and reliable attendance required. * Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or night shifts as project needs require. * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. * Strong commitment to workplace safety. Physical Requirements * Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb. * Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. * Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. * Ability to work near heavy equipment and active roadway traffic.
