Description
Overview This position will be physically located in Israel in support of the AFCAPV Program Performs tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials. Operation of a manual transmission vehicle is a must. Collects refuse and salvageable materials. Digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations. Cuts tree and brush. Moves and arranges heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances. Picks up leaves and trash. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and be able to effectively communicate and enforce them with all employees. Provides safety training to prevent workplace accidents and injuries. Conducts regular safety inspections to identify and address any potential hazards or violations. Familiar with EM 385 1-1 such as hazard communication, personal protective equipment, fall protection, and excavation safety. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Escorts subcontract workers, buses trucks etc. Qualifications Education/Certifications: High School graduate or GED. OSHA 30-Hour Two (2) years' related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Valid U.S. Driver's License required and the ability of operating a manual transmission is a must. Experience: Three (3) years' general labor experience along with (1) year foreman or supervisory experience. Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisor/Foreman Working Environment: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. The worker is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity. The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. Physical Requirements: Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Responsibilities
The Labor Foreman oversees general labor tasks including loading/unloading, site maintenance, and earth excavation. They are responsible for enforcing OSHA and EM 385 1-1 safety regulations and providing safety training to prevent workplace accidents.
