General Summary: The individual is responsible for overseeing all staffing needs for the Steamfitter trades within the HVAC division. This includes managing workforce assignments for both project sites and fabrication shop operations. Principal Accountabilities: Reviews labor requirements and labor budgets for new jobs with project managers and division leaders. Works with project managers to assign qualified foremen and crews for each project Coordinate with lead foreman to schedule manpower weekly for all current projects Maintains sound union relationships with employees and local business managers. Participates in joint labor management and apprenticeship committees as needed. Develop through understanding of labor agreements Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Experience: Mechanical construction experience plus at least 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of all aspects of HVAC construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) Behavioral Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills Description of physical working environment: Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to field locations or corporate meetings.
