As part of our Sports & Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS) team, you’ll be joining an internationally recognised laboratory at the forefront of anti-doping and banned substance testing. Our work spans animal sports medication, human drug testing, and dietary supplement certification. Job Description We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Laboratory Administrative Coordinator to join our team at our Fordham facility near Ely. This is a hands on role that’s around 70-80% structured, day to day admin, with the remaining 20-30% focused on supporting projects and unpredictable tasks that require initiative and problem solving. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys routine and is highly organised, but who also wants the chance to step outside of the usual admin box, whether that’s supporting new systems, improving processes, or getting involved in one-off projects across different teams. You’ll be joining a busy, purposeful scientific organisation where your support helps ensure our scientists and technicians can focus on delivering world-class testing and compliance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You’ll be a vital part of keeping our operations running smoothly, managing the essential admin tasks that underpin our lab’s success and jumping in when unexpected priorities arise. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE: (Core admin responsibilities; around 70-80% of your time) Providing administrative support to maintain regulatory compliance Processing customer invoices accurately and on time Maintaining and updating customer records in our CRM system Handling routine client communications via phone and email Ordering supplies and managing deliveries Creating automated reports to track operational and business performance YOU’LL ALSO SUPPORT WITH: (Project based and ad hoc work; around 20-30% of your time) Supporting the Supplement and RCTG teams with specific admin tasks Supporting the document archiving processes Covering reception and switchboard when needed Organising hospitality and logistics for customer visits and meetings Qualifications We’re seeking someone who: Has strong organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks at once Pays close attention to detail when entering data, managing documents, or preparing reports Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and over the phone Is confident using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) Has experience in a busy admin, reception, or customer-facing role (lab or office environment preferred) Can work independently and take initiative, especially when handling small projects Is friendly, adaptable, and eager to learn Full training will be provided, but we require someone who can quickly pick up systems and take ownership of their responsibilities.
