The role

ALS Oil & Lubricants in Stafford provides testing analysis to ensure optimal fluid health to our client’s equipment.

We’re looking for a Full time Laboratory Assistant to support Oil & Lubricants team by assisting with the preparation, handling, testing, and processing of samples associated with wear, friction, lubrication, and material performance evaluations. The role ensures laboratory activities are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with approved methods, quality standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, identify, label, log, and store laboratory samples in accordance with established procedures.

- Prepare samples, lubricants, fluids, and test specimens for tribological and material performance testing.

- Assist Laboratory Technicians and Scientists in conducting routine wear, friction, lubrication, and material testing activities.

- Operate laboratory equipment safely and accurately in accordance with approved methods and training requirements.

- Maintain laboratory equipment, testing apparatus and work area ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with quality standards.

- Accurately measure, record, and maintain laboratory data and documentation ensuring full traceability of samples and test results.
