Our state-of-the-art laboratories are strategically placed to help provide a wide range of inspection and laboratory testing services across a broad range of commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- Weighing, preparing and processing samples
- Process samples through various methods
- Basic maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration laboratory instruments
- Maintain good laboratory housekeeping
- Undertake tasks as requested by the laboratory supervisor/manager
- Perform Safety walks, inspections, audits and other tasks related to safety
- Follow and adhere to laboratory SOP’s and safety practices
- Meet quality, TATs and KPI’s required for the role
About You
- Previous experience working in a Geoanalytical or Minerals Laboratory
- Experience of inorganic chemistry laboratory techniques
- At least 1 years experience as a Laboratory Technician or equivalent
- Experience with ICP-MS and/or ICP-OES equipment is highly regarded
- An understanding of the basic QA/QC procedures in a Laboratory
- Good verbal and numerical reasoning skills
- A methodical, well organised approach to your work
- Be willing to work as part of a team in a production environment, with a high focus on quality & safety
Roster
- Weekly rotational shift roster
- Day shift – 6.00am-2.00pm
- Afternoon shift – 2.00pm-10.00pm
- Full availability across all shifts is required
- Roster may change to 9 hours shifts in future to meet business requirements
