Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Working closely with laboratory technologists and other laboratory personnel to collect and prepare specimens, perform basic lab tests, and manage data entry and documentation.   Essential Functions: * Collect, prepare & Labeling of samples for testing * Perform basic laboratory tests under the supervision of technologists * Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment * Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment  * Assist with quality control and assurance procedures * Communicate test results to relevant healthcare professionals * Attention to detail and accuracy of specimen labeling * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Documentation and order entry into hospital Laboratory System (LIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) * Ability to be organized & multi-task  * Communication and interpersonal skills   The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital’s goals and objectives.   Position Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous experience working in a medical laboratory setting * Excellent organizational & multi-tasking  * Strong Communication and interpersonal skills   Pay Range: Pay ranges from $15.500/hour to $22.081/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience) Hours: Monday- Friday 4pm- 1230am   Horizon Health is committed to caring not only for our patients, but for our staff as well.
