Job Description Join SGS New Zealand as a Laboratory Technician, with a key focus on Fire Assay and the preparation and analysis of geochemical and metallurgical samples. What you’ll be doing Preparing and analysing geochemical and metallurgical samples Carrying out and supporting Fire Assay processes Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to client requirements Following Standard Operating Procedures to maintain quality and consistency Meeting daily sample processing targets Maintaining equipment, workspaces, and accurate records Working within strict Health & Safety guidelines This position operates on a rotating shift roster: 12-hour shifts 4 days on, 4 days off Typical hours: 05:30 – 17:30 Qualifications Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment Has strong attention to detail and accuracy Can effectively manage time and prioritise workload Works well both independently and as part of a team Demonstrates reliability and a strong work ethic Additional Information At SGS New Zealand, we are committed to providing a rewarding and supportive work environment.
