​​Job reference: #21198 Brand: QML Pathology Location: 11 Riverview Place, Murarrie QLD 4172 (QML Pathology) Work type: Full Time (Permanent)  hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday. Start times will be scheduled between 6am and 10am, depending on operational needs. Additionally, required to participate in a rotating Saturday vet shift (~4 hours) is expected (frequency ~ one Saturday every 5 weeks). This means that you will be working in a business large enough to offer you job stability & security, interstate mobility and the opportunity to fulfil your career ambitions.   About The Role We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team.  Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers   Pre and post analytical specimen handling Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens   Filing and storage of specimens and data entry Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required Continuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests   Staying up to date with processing updates   Respond to result, sample requirements and general queries   Identifying and resolving problems on at the pre-analytic stage     About You  To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including: Specimen processing and data entry experience Excellent customer service and communication skills The ability to manage and thrive in a busy environment Ability to work with minimal supervision and work as a team   Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essential  Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirable   We believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in.
