About the opportunity

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Pathology team in Sample Reception and Processing. This is a critical role in the diagnostic testing process, ensuring specimens are received, sorted, and prepared for laboratory analysis with precision and care.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy is vital. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, adaptable, and committed to supporting high-quality healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Receive and accurately log pathology samples upon arrival
  • Sort and label specimens according to strict protocols
  • Prepare samples for transport or internal laboratory analysis
  • Maintain specimen integrity and ensure correct handling
  • Liaise with couriers, collection staff, and lab personnel
  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

Key Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced work environment
  • Comfortable working with biological samples
  • Previous experience in a pathology or healthcare setting is highly regarded but not essential
  • Work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays with the availability of minimum 4 days a week to max 38 hours a week.
