JOB SUMMARY

PG Assist is a specialist managed service provider and who provides laboratory, admin and misc. support services for a large, highly respected blue chip company, who create branded goods and services across the Globe.
We require a Sensory Laboratory Assistant to join one of our current teams based at Procter & Gamble’s Longbenton Site. This is an excellent opportunity to join our forward thinking and dynamic organisation in a laboratory based role.
The role involves assisting with standard perfume evaluations by preparing test materials/fabrics/wash solutions prior to evaluations by panellists/perfume experts.
Description of work:-

Full-Scale sensory wash testing/fabric preparation: -

  • Perfume Management (including management of raw materials, storage, perfume weighing)
  • Preparing perfumed samples (weighing & mixing operations)
  • Technical wash testing (including fabric de-sizing, auto/semi auto wash and dry technical testing, panel item preparation and liaison with the Consumer Connections Team, ballast stripping, machine boil-outs & data reporting via IT systems)

Candidates should have:

  • An interest/education in science.
  • Strong familiarity with technology.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • An excellent sense of smell.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Experience working with Excel or other spreadsheet software.

Typical Hours: - Mon - Fri, 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
