Work type: Full Time (Permanent) 38 hours per week
Schedule: Ability to participate in a 24/7 roster. Various shifts between Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers
  • Pre and post analytical specimen handling
  • Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens
  • Filing and storage of specimens and data entry
  • Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required
  • Continuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests
  • Staying up to date with processing updates
  • Respond to result, sample requirements and general queries
  • Identifying and resolving problems on at the pre-analytic stage
