We see the world through a Future Ready® lens, fuelled by a shared commitment to making a positive impact—one project and community at a time.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Civil Materials Cadet or Junior Technician, Gisborne Laboratory Our Laboratories play a vital role in supporting Aotearoa’s infrastructure by testing a wide range of civil engineering materials—including aggregates, soils, concrete, and bituminous products—to ensure quality and performance for our clients across the manufacturing and construction sectors. We are seeking a motivated entry-level Cadet or junior technician to join our Gisborne Laboratory team. No prior laboratory experience is required, as full training will be provided. We’re looking for individuals who bring strong physical capability, are comfortable lifting heavy materials, have an interest in science or mathematics, can confidently carry out basic data entry and are flexible with working the occasional overtime if required. In this role, you’ll contribute to a diverse range of projects across both laboratory and field environments, supporting work that helps shape the future of our communities. About you: * Experience in labour or trades-based roles (e.g., construction, roading, warehousing, farming) is advantageous, but not essential. * Strong physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy materials and equipment. * Competent with basic computer skills and able to follow digital work instructions. * NZ Residency or a current Work visa. * Holder of a current, clean New Zealand driver’s license. * Effective communicator and collaborative team member. * Willing to travel as required.   Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
