Description
• Follows complex defined test plans and datasheets utilizing a single technology with necessary support. Evaluates  test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results and  completes test report. • Serves as Lead for test programs as assigned. Communicates project status and results as needed. Holds  responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing  project related activities. • Examines complex customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case. Communicates with  internal customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation. • Understands and is able to explain specific test standards for scope of responsibility • Directs, builds and/or adapts test setups, sample prepatarions/solutions and instruments for assigned work, based on  test plans and instructions from engineering. • Operates and maintains complex test instruments appropriately to measure and test customer samples. Performs  complex maintenance on designated test instruments and laboratory area. May perform complex calibration of test  instruments • Integrates basic continuous improvement concepts and techniques for both process and instruments. Communicates  with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new instruments, processes, and forms to improve  accuracy and efficiencies. • Assists Senior Laboratory Chemists in the implementation / validation of new test methods and follows safe chemical  hygiene practices. • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices • Other duties as assigned A global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries.
